I've also found out that reverse printing does not work in gedit.

So far, reverse printing works in Adobe Acrobat and Open Office

But it does not work in Firefox 3, Epiphany, or Open Office.

And this is true with the Stylus CX4800 as well as the Stylus C86.

This whole situation is a bit messed on and completely on an
application-by-application basis.

There is something deeper than a firefox issue going on here.  It might
not even be Firefox's fault at all.

So, what are the differences between how these programs interact with
the printing system?
