Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: acpi-support
Disabling wakeup on lid switch by toggling /proc/acpi/wakeup LID writes
to file correctly (see attached proc_acpi_wakeup) but my laptop still
resumes on opening the lid.
Steps to Reproduce
On boot up:
echo " LID" | sudo tee /proc/acpi/wakeup
cat /proc/acpi/wakeup

Suspend computer (from fn+key, menu, or laptop lid close)
Open Lid
Computer will resume.
/sys/devices/virtual/input/input6/power/wakeup (input 6 is lid switch
per dmesg) is empty signifying wakeup is not available. writing enabled
or disabled to the file results in invalid argument error when run as
root.
dmesg attached is after two suspends, first one resumed with power key,
second resumed from lid switch.
