Hey, I found out how you can solve the problem! I had the same problem, tried out the debian-packages and so on...but didn't work at all. The only reason why the fonts are scaled so huge is that the need the Face-Attribute!
This means your /etc/X11/xdm/Xresources should contain something like this: xlogin.Login.greetFace: Comic Sans MS-16 xlogin.Login.face: Comic Sans MS-16 xlogin.Login.promptFace: Comic Sans MS-16 xlogin.Login.failFace: Comic Sans MS-16 Rather you should also give the items a font family...you can find a font via /usr/bin/xfontsel You can use e.g. this to let xdm search a matching font (also in xdm/Xresources): xlogin.Login.promtFont: *courier 10 pitch* Greets, Unsk1ll3d ** Attachment added: "xdm/Xresources example file that works..." http://launchpadlibrarian.net/16189723/Xresources -- [hardy] XDM: huge font size https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/210830 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
