Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
I am using a fresh installed Hardy on my laptop. My video card is Nvidia 5600
GT and i have the latest hardy-proposed driver installed.
I am able to change my brightness via nvidia-settings. I tried to use
the Power Manager Brightness Applet to dim the backlight but adjusting
the levels at the bar didnt change anything. I tried to blacklist the
video module on startup, this time the applet is disabled.
Seems there is a problem about gpm related with Nvidia driver because i
have already spoken with another nvidia user at the #ubuntu channel who
has the same problem.
I will attach some files that may help you and will be following the
bug. So if you need further information please report me.
