After update to version 3.0 when I tried to open monodevelop GUI I got this
error message in the command:

The assembly mscorlib.dll was not found or could not be loaded.
It should have been installed in the `/usr/local/lib/mono/2.0/mscorlib.dll'
directory.

error while trying to load an assembly.
