This was 9 months ago, when I upgraded to Gutsy.  I'm now running Hardy.  My
upgrade log files are now irrelevant.

I'm told that weather forecasting is compute-bound and non-linear in
forecast distance -- we can generate forecasts for two months from now, but
it will take six months to produce them.  Perhaps Ubuntu has an analogous
problem. :-)
