Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

I had recently switched to ubuntu linux from Windows. At our company
Exchange is used for e-mailing. I tried to import e-mails using csv
format first, but it did not work. After that, I copied mails stored on
Outlook to my mail box on the Exchange server, and copied all that mails
to a personal folder in Evolution. As far as remember, I did nothing
related to contacts. However, opening personal address book on my
computer it contains more than 2000 unusable items. All these items are
messages not contact information. Since Evolution became instable, I
tried to delete addressbook.db from directory
.evolution/addressbook/local/system. After that reopen Evolution, but it
creates addressbook again with the same way. See attached screen shot.

Release of Ubuntu: 8.04.1
version of Evolution: 2.22.3.1
I expect that personal address book remains empty (or if Evolution creates
contacts from messages, extracts e-mail addresses from fields "From", "To",
"Cc").

Best regards, Peter
