Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gscan2pdf
I am running gscan2pdf version 0.9.25 installed as a binary package from deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/jeffreyratcliffe/ubuntu hardy main deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/jeffreyratcliffe/ubuntu hardy main on XUbuntu 8.04.1 (Hardy). If I use an OCR program (gocr or tesseract) on a tif-file and then try to save the result in a djvu file, then the text layer of the djvu-file is not generated properly. If I open the final djvu-file in a djvu-viever and try to search for anything then either a whole page or nothing is highlighted. I face a similar problem when exporting into "pdf." I had the same difficulties when running the version of gscan2pdf program from the Ubuntu univers repository (I guess the version was 0.9.21, http://cz.archive.ubuntu.com hardy/universe). I appologize if I am doing just a stupid mistake or if I misunderstand the possibilites of gscan2pdf. ** Affects: gscan2pdf (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- ocr result is not saved properly https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/251312 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
