If I use the "acpi=noirq" kernel parameter I can adjust the brightness without any problems but closing the lid the screen still remains black and the computer freezes. Another sideeffect of this workaround is that because of the kernel parameter only one core is available, which is not acceptable for me because I want to enjoy the full power of my the two cores.
