Public bug reported:
When using the default fglrx driver with Ubuntu 8.04 on an Acer Extensa
4420 laptop, then booting up with an attached monitor, then leaving the
laptop idle for several minutes, you come back and the laptop is frozen
where no keys work unless you click Fn+Power to do a hard reset.
The fix for me was to install Envy and choose the ATI driver, but then
when I logout the screen goes black and no keys work for me anymore. So,
instead of logging out, I'm having to do CTRL+ALT+BACKSPACE to kill the
desktop.
