So indeed, there is no filesystem with the UUID b4553c87-85ef-4c03-8e0f-
c23600f62c5.   Did you install another Linux system or another instance
of Ubuntu on this system?   It looks like your /etc/fstab file is simply
incorrect, or out of date.

This then is not a e2fsprogs bug, but either an issue with a user error
where /etc/fstab was wrongly edited, or there have been problems in the
past with the Ubuntu installer where  user installs another instance of
Ubuntu, and a filesystem gets reformatted with another UUID, and so the
system can't find a filesystme with the original UUID.  (UUID stands for
"universally unique ID".)
