Binary package hint: gnucash
System: Intel iMac OSX 10.5.4. 4GB RAM. 500GB hard drive.
gnucash shows as installed in FinkCommander even after a complete uninstall of
source.
The installed version of GnuCash is 1.8.12-11
The installed version of FinkCommander is 0.5.4
Unable to reload and rebuild gnucash with FinkCommander without getting an
error on execution. Error message at start up of GnuCash is:
Application "--" (process 65185) has crashed due to a fatal error (Bus error)
Initial attempt to install from source: configure complains that the correct
GLIB version is not installed.
The current install is glib-shlibs 1.2.10-50.
I figured out that I could set PKG_CONFIG_PATH to where I had downloaded,
built, and installed GLIB.
The source build got past that problem and then failed on GUILE.
Guile is provided as part of the embedded software on the Mac and is version
1.6.7-1013.
I could not figure out how to get past this problem.
Final result: unable to uninstall gnucash with FinkCommander, unable to
build from source.
