I had exactly the same with nvidia-glx 1:96.43.05+2.6.24.14-20.46 here - so the problem seems to have remained. However: I removed nvidia-glx switching back to nv, and then asked jockey to install the restricted drivers again - it chose to install nvidia-glx-new. Not sure if the problem remained with this one as well - did not logout yet again.
