I am using a fully updated ubuntu hardy with 2.6.24-19 and my default gateway is still being replaced or a second default gateway is added with the IP address for the AT&T Tilt. Unplugging the device removes the default gateway. Fixed by adding this to /etc/network/interfaces: auto eth3 iface eth3 inet dhcp
