Binary package hint: totem
I have upgraded from fiesty -> gutsy -> hardy. while all was well on fiesty and
gutsy I am having issues with Hardy in two areas:
1. The screensaves freeze my system (I have disabled them so that,s ok for
now.)
2. The above players will play sound but no picture, i sometimes get a flash of
the title page and then blank!? I have tried uninstalling and reinstallling the
players but to no avail. I am using an ATI driver. this is true for AVI, MP4
and DVD's files.
This may help - the Mplayer Firefox plug-in plays the MP4 fine in
Firefox...
My Laptop using Nvidia plays MP4, AVI and most, but not all DVD's.
