gstreamer (and then totem) doesn't crash if i remove gstreamer0.10-pitfdll.
BUT, i would like to focus this bug on totem. see if totem was fixed up to
produce a nice error message when gstreamer died/produced an error message then
it would make the whole "user experience" cleaner (also then possibly totem
could capture some debugging information from gstreamer for bug reports?).

i'll see if i can find someone with a current cvs build with pitfdll to
see if gstreamers problem has already been fixed upstream.
