This was done by going to: Kmenu > System Settings > Appearance > Effects and turning off "Enable GUI Effects" This is a user setting therefore it will affect all users on a machine and they will have to individually turn this off. I would suggest that GUI effects be turned off by default if using this video driver. While the bug is being fixed, if anyone knows how, please provide instructions on how to turn off "GUI effects" for all users on a machine (at once) and by default for new users.
