Public bug reported:
I have a HP pavilion a1410n PC which has a ASUS A8N-LA mother board with
Athlon64 and 1GB Ram.
The 6.06.1-desktop-amd64.iso image boots fine on this machine. The 6.10
-rc-desktop-amd64 does not.
After showing the bootloader (GRUB?) splash screen and selecting the
default option,
It loads/uncompresses the kernel and initrd image and prints:
Decompressing Linux..done.
Booting the kernel.
Then just hangs and does nothing.
I observed the same behavior on a Gateway Athlon64x2 with 2GB memory
also.
The same CD boots fine on a Gateway Notebook PC w/ Athlon64.
Unfortunatly I don't know more specifics about these two Gateway PCs.
The 6.10-rc-desktop-i386 image boots and runs fine on all three
machines.
Sorry I could not give any more details, but I thought you should know.
