Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: kdepim
As far as I understand Kontact has an off line mode like Firefox. I use a
script to connect to my secured wireless network </can't figure out wpa gui and
it breaks every thing :- ( not what I'm here for> using the script makes
knetworkmanager think that I'm not connected to any wireless networks. when I
use Firefox I always have to switch from off line mode to online mode. My
investigation in to the mater shows that I can use Kontact on my home wireless
(using knetworkmanager to connect) and send and receive email just fine. It's
only when I use my script to connect to my secured wireless network that the
problem occurs, scene I'm bypassing knetworkmanager, some of my applications
think that I'm not actually online. Is their a setting that I can set in
Kontact so it will act as tho I'm online and try to communicate any way.. Like
Firefox has an offline mode you can set to online?
