Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: evolution
In our Company we are using a Kerio Groupware Mailserver (KMS6) this
give the possibility to sync the accounts via LDAP. My Problem is that I
can try what I want I cant get it to work 100% in evolution. In my
Outlook on my other PC it is running smooth but in evo I have this
Problems:
- Contactlist is only showed if I search for a contact else it is empty, if I
start evo in offlinemode the contacts are present without searching for them
- Complete LDAP editing is not possible, evo shows up the usermask but do not
let me edit any account information
I know that most time the problem is the server to test on for this purpose I
made a test account on my domain which can be used if you want to test this
with KMS.
LDAP ->
Server: mx.planetlan-gmbh.de
Port: 389
Secure Connection: No Security
Method: DN
Name: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Searchbase: fn=ContactRoot
Searcharea: Sub
Filter: (objectclass=*)
Password: tuxtux65
I tried several configurations and ways. If I for ex. drag a existing
local contact into the ldap book it says that evo adds the contact to
ldap server but the status message stays forever. No Timeout at all.
The Evolution --debug does not says much, though I attach the file.
Thanks alot would be really awsome if oneday I can totaly swap from my
M$ look to evolution.
