I've started looking into reproducing it, but did not finish it.
It did not happen to me, but there's a debconf question, which defaults to
"abort" - asking if the upgrade should get done, since old snapshots cannot be
converted.
I've thought most users would just "accidentally" abort this - aren't debconf
questions not being handled in some upgrade process (update-manager)?
Would you need to "Show details" to see the question in the console window?
