Public bug reported: Binary package hint: openswan
The KLIPS kernel module is part of openswan and is required to connect to VPNs from behind NAPTed firewalls (which is most of the time these days). It should be part of the openswan package, but is broken out in the "linux-patch-openswan" package. This doesn't seem to work (there's no sign of the KLIPS module after installing the linux-patch package). There's a web page that describes how to build KLIPS into the kernel, but this remains broken as there's still errors during the kernel build. http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-412797.html This is with 8.04.1 x86_64. ** Affects: openswan (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- KLIPS module not included with openswan https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/253041 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
