Man... One more addition. Adding symlinks to the fonts in ~/.fonts
actually does cause immediate system-wide segfault of GUI apps. I'm
trying to discover the threshold at which it craps out by slowly
reducing the number of fonts in a single directory and then running fc-
cache.
