Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: update-manager
It may have failed because of customization of the package? I only
clicked the report button because it suggested it was the right thing to
do. I actuallity, I was already contemplating removing the package
because I want to use statically assigned IP addresses in my two host
network anyway.
Since I can only read email on my Windoze PC and not the Ubuntu system,
it is not an easy thing to get all the information below. I was in the
process of upgrading to 7.10. It now identifies itself as 7.10
