Hi,
This appears to be upstream's intended behaviour, so I am marking
this bug report, as I don't think we will want to deviate from upstream
on this.
If you disagree then opening an upstream bug report and making your
case there would be a good way to proceed.
The other option is that you agree that upstream should have this feature,
but that it shouldn't be the first user created on Ubuntu shouldn't be
in that group by default. If you believe that is the case then we can discuss
changing that.
