Today when i resumed from hibernation i got a deafening noise right when
the display manager resumed. running X programs were utorrent,
truecrypt, nautilus, base desktop/menus, and firefox with embedded flash
video open put no playing or paused. This is a serious problem that
needs to be prevented, even if it is hard to discern what exactally
caused it. I will add more if i get it again.
8.04, fully upgraded. sound card 5.1 SB live. A disabled at bios level
sis integrated sound card.
