I am not sure what to say. I will be diplomatic. 1. I was told on a flight last week by one of the Ubuntu Server developers to report this problem on launchpad. 2. I spent 2 days researching this in forums and found many many people using different forms on LINUX with the same or similar issue. All with the same card. 3. On the plane ride with the Ubuntu developer, the guy next to us also had a similar problem with the same card. Odds?
4. I would recommend you go to Google and search: intel 3945 problem linux 2008 .See if anyone else has a problem. 5. I have been using Ubuntu for 3 years. This includes server edition as well. Most of the time we normal users post on forums to get answers. If that doesn't work we just run the older version. In the forums most people have switched back to Gutsy. 6. I stated in the opening that this problem seem to have many related symptoms. People are not using the same language to report it that is why you have to really read to see what's going on. Read some of the forum postings please. 7. If it is an AP issue then where does that leave me? Can you be a bit more constructive please? Ending a bug report or technical conversation without giving details is not going to help the next guy very much. 8. And although they are not all the same. 70200 other pages matching "intel 3945" That is how many pages on Launchpad are referencing the card and wireless issues. So I think this is huge issue being reported in uncommon language. -- Intel 3945 Wireless in Hardy cannot negotiate WEP or WPA Keys https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/253697 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
