Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus
When copying files with nautilus to a NTFS volume, the file timestamps are lost. (I "think" that CP -a behaves the same) Both "last modification date" and "last access date" are set to the current (copy) date / timestamp. The file "last modification date" should be kept, as the file has not been modified. I'm using Ubuntu 8.04 desktop with all updates as of July 31, 2008. ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- File timestamp lost when copying files (nautilus) to a NTFS volume https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/254016 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
