Since Hardy upgrade sound output doesn't work anymore if earphones or an
external speaker is connected while laptops speakers still work without
problems. The same happens with the Live CD and the problem doesn't appear with
Gutsy Kernel 2.6.22. It could be fixed through adding the line "options
snd-hda-intel model=benq" to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.
I have a Gigabyte W251U laptop and using current Hardy.
