It's still not working for me. I've got kdesudo 3.2-0ubuntu3 installed,
and that's the latest one available at http://archive.ubuntu.com/.
Whenever I click the icon I get the message «Could not find 'kdesu'
executable.» in ~/.xsession-errors. There's a /usr/bin/kdesudo binary
shipped which works okay (I tested «kdesudo xclock»), as well as a
/usr/lib/kde4/libexec/kdesu which is a symlink to /usr/bin/kdesudo.
However adept_{updater,notifier} doesn't appear to look for "kdesu" in
/usr/lib/kde4/libexec, nor does it appear interested in using "kdesudo"
instead. So it still doesn't work. If I make a symlink from
/usr/bin/kdesu to /usr/bin/kdesudo, then it works okay - the
adept_updater window appears at least (it goes on to crash, but that's a
separate bug I guess).
So in order for this to work either the adept_{notifier,updater} needs
to be changed to use either "kdesudo" instead of "kdesu", or look for
the latter in /usr/lib/kde4/libexec/, or kdesudo needs to ship a "kdesu"
executable/symlink in /usr/bin/. Since neither of this has happened,
I'm reopening the bug.
