I can confirm this bug. It happens every time I attempt to start
adept_updater. The window appears, showing the following status
messages in the bottom before crashing (with no interaction from me):

Could not find 'drkonqi' executable.
KCrash cannot reach kdeinit, launching directly.
I've got adduser, debconf, and sysklogd installed, but not snort-mysql
or oinkmaster.
This is on a newly updated intrepid alpha-3 of Kubuntu (x86 version).
No special customisation done, installed it just a few days ago.
