Public bug reported:
WPA2 key's are not escaped correctly in Hardy.
- Network-admin doesn't add the correct hex code in /etc/network/interfaces if
the WPA2 key contains '!' or '$'..
- Temporary solution: I manually did
wpa_passphrase essid 'passphrase' (the passphrase single quoted), changed the
hex code in /etc/network/interfaces, and it works.
- nm-applet will not connect to a wireless AP/router if the WPA2 key contains
'!' or '$'.
- Temporary solution: I reconfigure the router and replaxe '!' with 'i' and '$'
with 's', nm-applet is able to connect.
** Affects: gnome-system-tools (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
