OK, 12 hrs later, updated to newest backport modules for "-20" came out, but the update-initramfs was applied to "-21"
Still wifi doesn't work in -21; and -20 won't get the xorg conf right now (800x600) I tried to force the update to -20 but no go. It somehow broke the restricted drivers for -20. I am currently back in -19 and everything is good(wifi light on, nvidia driver loads [glx-new]). Will provide/test anything you have to offer as I have -20, and -21 installed. Somehow todays [early 8-4-08 EST] backport update to -20 botched my -20 kernel.... It applied to the -21 IIRC and broke the restricted nvidia driver in -20. I'll attach some logs and stuff if it helps: Remember I reinstalled the -19 kernel in the first log... Everything important is prior and including 8-4-08 when the -20 and -21 kernels were installed... ** Attachment added: "/var/apt/log/term.log" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/16525071/term.log -- [regression] wireless led light not working iwl3945 with 2.6.24-20 and 2.6.24-21 (module backports enabled) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/254531 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
