Public bug reported:
After installing Ubuntu 8.04 on my IBM Thinkpad T30 laptop, and
rebooting, I had the pleasant surprise of discovering that Ubuntu did
not recognize the existence of the built-in network adapter, the Cisco
mpi350, which is supposed to be supported under the Airo module. In
Gnome and KDE, (I've tried both an ubuntu and kubuntu CD), the network
manager only offers the ability to change the settings for a wired or
dialup/modem connection. FYI the Cisco mpi350 was supported under Ubuntu
7.10, and most Debian based distros I've tried, such as Elive, Sidux,
and Linux Mint have recognized the inbuilt PCI network card.
