Public bug reported:

When the compose key is set to altgr under system/preferences/keyboard
preferences/layout/layout options to enable typing of characters such as
ü, it is no longer possible to type the euro symbol, which should be
altgr+4 on a standard British keyboard.

I have also tried enabling "add the euro sign to the 4 key" option
located in the same place, but it still doesn't work.

I'm on Ubuntu Hardy AMD64 with all updates installed, however I know
this bug to be present in the 32bit version too.
