Binary package hint: liferea
Running Liferea 1.4.14 on Hardy with flashplugin-nonfree and
libflashsupport installed on a Core 2 Duo. After viewing approximately
4 to 5 RSS entries with embedded flash video it causes Liferea to crash.
Interesting note, with nspluginwrapper installed to workaround Firefox 3
and Flash issues, embedded flash videos don't display in Liferea. In
Liferea "about:plugins" you see the Flash plugin pointing to the
npwrapper link. I had to softlink /usr/lib/flashplugin-
nonfree/libflashplayer.so to /usr/lib/xulrunner-
addons/plugins/libflashplayer.so. However, even without nspluginwrapper
installed, I still get the crash after viewing about 4 to 5 embedded
flash vids.
I talked to Liferea author and he says it's external to Liferea, it has
something to do with html widgets.
Another interesting issue, on another Hardy box (AMD Barton), with same
packages installed (Firefox 3, flashplugin-nonfree, pulseaudio, etc) I
don't have the crash issues on that box.
Liferea did receive signal 11 (Segmentation fault).
You have propably triggered a program bug. I will now try to
create a backtrace which you can attach to any support requests.
