Public bug reported: Hello,
I have just installed 8.04 on a new laptop (Lenovo 3000 n200), and Ubuntu believes I have sound: I can see the volume control, it is not muted, I can change the volume, etc, etc... but I can't hear anything!!! On the Windows Vista that came with the PC, the sound works fine. I have read the sound troubleshooting guide at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SoundTroubleshooting, and this is the output of the "aplay -l" command: **** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices **** card 0: Intel [HDA Intel], device 0: ALC861VD Analog [ALC861VD Analog] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 So it says "check if the mixer is muted", but it isn't. What can I do? Thank you very much for your help. Regards, Luis. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Just installed 8.04, no sound https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/255849 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
