Duh, sorry. I totally missed your screenshot. This is embarassing! Changed source package to what I think is the culprit. CCSM is currently forcing a white background, when it should be passively permitting GTK to do as it pleases. If it is entirely necessary to set a white background, CCSM must also set the text colour or else it is impossible to guarantee readability.
