Public bug reported:
Running Hardy Heron 8.04.1 64 bit on an AMD64 PC.
The DVD works fine with Windows XP SP3 and consists on 3.54Gb of photos (5235
JPEG files in 496 folders). The DVD-R was formatted UDF in Windows. In Hardy
all that happens is that it sounds like the DVD is being accessed when first
inserted into the drive (this lasts several minutes). No error messages are
displayed and no DVD folder appears on the desktop or in Nautilus once the
noise stops.
The fstab file CDROM is set up for udf, iso9660:-
/dev/scd0 /media/cdrom0 udf,iso9660 user,noauto,exec,utf8 0 0
I've also tried this DVD on Xubuntu 8.04.1 32 bit with the same results.
JPEG files can be viewed on both PCs.
On another UDF DVD+RW disk the CD Creator program suggests that it is
blank, but I know there should be hundreds of files on this one.
