I have tested your page on 4 systems - 1 nvidia graphics deskstop, 1
intel graphics laptop and 2 virtual machines. The only slow down occurs
with the nvidia driver machine and looks like an nvidia issue and not a
firefox issue.
It has to be said the page is very content loaded and does struggle even
on good connections like mine.
