Binary package hint: libxml-simple-ruby
The libxml-simple-ruby package installs the library in
/usr/lib/ruby/1.8/lib, where ruby can't find it. It should install to
/usr/lib/ruby/1.8/, where most ruby libraries go. I will use my novice
skills to fix.
