** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: samba

I tried to upgrade my system tonight, following indications on Ubuntu's
  Web site (gksu "update-manager -c").

During the install process an error box appearred twice "install aborted ()
filles failed" and over the box it said to enclude this "/var/log/dist-upgrade/.
   - First time there was word about SAMBA.
- - Second time aborting the whole process and arguing my system might be
unstable now. That time, i noted bug / update-manager : Install
Archives()faild' with indication to include files from /var/log/dist-upgrade'.
So you will find them attached to this message. Hope they can help you.

Anyway, i began a unwilling install of SAMBA last week, and then
cancelled it with Applications -> Add/remove... (my translation from
French localized GUI). Maybe the result wasnot clean...

  Thanks in advance.

  Arnaud

+ PS : i will tell you tomorrow if my system is really unusable. I must
