Thank you for reporting this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. This seems like a permission issue, as such can we get you to open a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal) and enter "ls -l .mozilla/firefox/*/bookmarks.html" (without the quotes) and paste the output here?
