Public bug reported:
1.0.7-3 includes a backported fix from upstream SVN for a database corruption
bug.
It's not a bug which everyone will hit, but it has affected several users
independently.
The upstream bug report is: http://trac.xapian.org/ticket/287
Other than this, there are several less important bug fixes, two new minor
features (open ended range
query operators to complement the existing closed range query operator, and
Unicode::toupper() to
complement the existing Unicode::tolower()), some speed improvements, and the
packaging now
conforms to Debian policy 3.8.0.
Upstream 1.0.7 has been out for 4 weeks now, while 1.0.6 (which added the new
minor features) was
released nearly 5 months ago, so the changes have seen wider testing.
There are no Ubuntu changes in the current intrepid package, and 1.0.7-3 is ABI
compatible
with the current intrepid version.
