Hi akretschmer,
I'm not seeing the same thing here running a 2.6.24-19 kernel. I
glanced at the config files in the Hardy git tree and CONFIG_CPU_FREQ is
enabled and the /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq directory exists
here:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/ubuntu-hardy/debian/config$ grep -rn "CONFIG_CPU_FREQ=y" *
amd64/config:408:CONFIG_CPU_FREQ=y
i386/config:173:CONFIG_CPU_FREQ=y
ia64/config:331:CONFIG_CPU_FREQ=y
powerpc/config:337:CONFIG_CPU_FREQ=y
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/ubuntu-hardy/debian/config$ ls -d
/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/
/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/ubuntu-hardy/debian/config$ cat /proc/version_signature
Ubuntu 2.6.24-19.36-generic
Care to attach the output of the same commands I ran:
cat /proc/version_signature
ls -d /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq
Also care to maybe attach your dmesg output:
dmesg > dmesg.log
Thanks in advance.
