Thanks for your bugreport.
The logs are available from within the "synaptic package manager".
Please open that and select "File/History". The full apt log is
available in /var/log/apt/term.log (there is currently no gui that links
those two together, also there is a volunteer interessted in doing this
work).
I think its also worth considering to make the logs available in a
easier form in update-mnaager itself.
