IT WORKS!!!!! Okay, as a subscriber to this bug, I received the notice about migrating the bug to the new "linux" package. So, I downloaded and burned the LiveCD of Intrepid Ibex Alpha 3 (Kubuntu) today. I'm running it from the LiveCD at the moment. I pulled out my Kingston 5GB pcmcia HD and plugged it in to the pcmcia slot, and viola, there it is under New Device Notifier! Click on the device icon and it opens with Dolphin. This is the first time since Edgy Eft that I've been able to access this device! I'm so happy!!!!
What ever was done, please ensure that it is retained throughout the development process, and particularly, in the final release.
