Public bug reported:

I newly bought EDIMAX 7108pcg wlan pcmcia card, which uses the rt61
chipset. I already reported a bug, that the rt61pci driver does not work
with it. I downloaded the rt61 driver from
http://rt2x00.serialmonkey.com, so I can connect through it now.

The problem is, that the network-admin gui recognizes the card, but doesn't
show available wlan networks, therefore can't connect.
"iwlist ra0 scan" from the CLI does.
It's probably not only network-admin problem, because the network-manager has
problems too. Although it scans and finds networks, it can't establish a
connection.
I'm guessing now, but is it because the driver does not support
wireless-extensions (I've read that somewhere).

I can connect on the command-line with no problems.

** Affects: linux-source-2.6.17 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
