Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus
A username with an 'at' (@) symbol in it fails to run in Nautilus: Typing in a URL manually (ftp://[EMAIL PROTECTED]@domain/) results in this error: ===== Couldn't display "ftp://[EMAIL PROTECTED]@domain/", because the host could be found. Check that the spelling is correct and that your proxy settings are correct. ===== However, if you use Places > Connect to Server, Nautilus can parse unwanted characters into entities easily: ftp://[EMAIL PROTECTED]/ Where: u_part1 could equal 'brett' u_part2 could equal 'launchpad.net' domain could equal 'launchpad.net' Can we get Nautilus to use the last 'at' (@) symbol to indicate domain and have all other unwanted characters beforehand (in the username) be converted? ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Nautilus can't parse odd characters in usernames to entities https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/257708 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
