Thank you for taking your time to file this bug and help make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately you haven't provided enough information for us to look into this bug. Please specify the version of OpenOffice.org you are able to reproduce this bug in Feisty and Gutsy. Also, can you attach the ~/.xsession-errors file (the file is found as a hidden file in your home directory) taken immediately after the program crash, as a separate attachment to the bug report.
In addition you may also like to check https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingOpenOffice for more information on debugging OpenOffice. I tried the reported bug in Feisty with OpenOffice.org 2.2.0, but was unable to reproduce the bug. The program does take some time to respond in the middle, which might be due to low availability of resources in that machine, but it never crashed or hung. The scrolling continued after getting struck in the middle for few seconds but didn't happen in successive scrolling up and down the document. Thanks in advance. ** Changed in: openoffice.org (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete ** Tags added: ooo-writer -- openoffice crashes when scrolling through this sxw document https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/257838 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
